The March survey of Steam users showed a significant increase in the number of owners of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card. Despite the fact that this model is already about 3 years old, it currently dominates among discrete video cards with a share of 6.92%. Compared to the previous month, its share has grown by 0.75%. The second place is taken by the even older model GeForce RTX 2060 - 4.10%.
At the same time, the newer version RTX 4060, based on the latest NVIDIA architecture, is gradually gaining popularity. Currently, it is found among 2.59% of all Steam users, which is the second highest increase on the platform - by +0.6%.
NVIDIA xx60 series graphics cards remain the best option among gamers, with four models from different generations occupying places among the top 10 most popular models. However, the popularity of the GTX 10, GTX 16, and RTX 20 series may have reached its peak and is now declining, especially considering NVIDIA's discontinuation of production of GTX 16/10 series chips.
The surge in popularity of the RTX 3060 can be explained by the release of a model with 8 GB of memory. Currently, the company has strengthened its position in the market segment up to $300 with a wide range of offerings covering at least two generations (Ampere and Ada Lovelace).
Meanwhile, AMD and Intel graphics cards have not experienced a significant increase in popularity. The Radeon RX 580 is the most popular AMD model, but it is only found in 0.83% of all systems verified by Steam. Neither Radeon RX 7000 nor Intel ARC graphics processors are among the top 90 most popular video cards in Steam Charts.
According to the results of the Steam system survey in March 2024, the Ukrainian language ranks 14th in popularity among all users, on par with Italian. It is currently installed on 0.60% of systems. Compared to the previous month, its prevalence has decreased by 0.05%. For comparison, the Polish language took 10th place with a result of 1.63%, and compared to February, the indicator has slightly increased. Given that the population of Ukraine and Poland is approximately comparable. To attract developers and publishers of games to create Ukrainian localization for their projects, it is necessary to demonstrate a large number of interested users. Therefore, it is important to set the Ukrainian language interface in the OS and Steam.
