Simple page loading can cause crashes on budget phones that can easily handle the mobile version of PUBG with a speed of 40 frames per second, according to a report from Danluu.com.

For example, Wix requires loading 21 MB of data for one page, while Patreon and Threads websites 13 MB for one page. During the experiments, their loading took up to 33 seconds, and in some cases, the pages did not load at all.

The main measurement data can be seen in a table that shows the time when most content on the visible part of the screen is already available for viewing (LCP), on several sites and devices with low specifications. The left columns also show the bandwidth requirements of each site.

During the testing, budget Itel P32 and Tecno S8C were used, as well as more powerful systems Apple M3 Max, M1 Pro, and M3.

According to the test results, among the sites with the most optimization problems are Quora and almost all major social media platforms. New content creation services, such as Squarespace, Forum, and Discourse, also have worse performance than their old counterparts, making it impossible to use on some devices.

Interestingly, Tecno S8C constantly got stuck on Quora, although it can handle running PUBG at a speed of 40 frames per second.
